One of a cycle of poems I based on relationships:

Apology

Wrenched from him
With wheedling words
And deep reproach,
He resisted;

Revulsion
More than repentance
Robed his regret.

My heart heard not
"I'm sorry."

My latest, "Confessions of a Lazy Gardener," will tickle your reading taste if the spring air has you itching to grow vegetables.  Find it in The Idaho Magazine, March, 2012.
                                         By mid-July your garden can look like this
                                         with no weeds because of spread grass clippings.
